  1. Prepare 1 cup Sama/Bhagar /Mauraya rice
  2. Get 1/4 cup sago/Sabudana
  3. Get 1 cup Curd
  4. Take to taste Rock salt
  5. Make ready 5-6 boiled potatoes
  6. Get 1 grated carrot
  7. Prepare 3-4 green chillies
  8. Get Roasted crushed peanuts
  9. Prepare 1 /2 tsp Black pepper
  10. Take salt as per your taste Rock
  11. Get Oil for greasing
  12. Make ready 1 /2 tsp Eno or baking soda

Potatoes are underground tubers that grow on the roots of the potato plant, Solanum tuberosum. This plant is from the nightshade family and related to tomatoes and tobacco. Roasted potatoes mingle with fresh spinach in a sauce of garlic, butter, sea salt and fresh rosemary. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil and/or a good shredded hard cheese like Parmesan or Pecorino if you like.

Instructions to make Potatoes & carrots stuff Idli (Navratri vrat special):
  1. Soak Sama & Sabudana in curd for 3-4 hours.
  2. Grind in a smooth paste. If batter is thick add some water. (it should be like normal Idli paste). Add rock salt. Keep 5-6 hours for fermentation.
  3. Combine all ingredients of filling except oil & baking soda in a bowl. Mix well.
  4. Form tikki shape.
  5. Now add water in Idli steamer & let it boil. Meanwhile Grease Idli plate. Add baking soda or Eno in Idli batter. Mix well. Immediately pour one spoon Idli batter in Idli plate. Place one potatoes tikki.
  6. Cover it by pouring one spoon Idli batter. Now keep it in Idli steamer. Steam it on high to medium flame (first 5 minutes high then medium). Switch off gas. Let it cool down.
  7. De mould Idli & enjoy with coconut chutney
