  5. Get 2 Ox cheeks, cut into Bitesize chunks
  6. Get to taste Salt
  7. Prepare to taste Ground black pepper
  8. Prepare 2 beef stock cubes
  9. Prepare 2 l water, plus more as required
  10. Make ready Handful fresh thyme sprigs
  11. Make ready 150 g approximately of pearl barley
