The ingredients needed to make Crockpot Sausage and Beans:
  1. Get 1 lb kalbasa
  2. Prepare 1 lb hot sausage (or mild)
  3. Make ready 10 oz navy beans (I used frozen)
  4. Prepare 10 oz black beans (I used frozen)
  5. Make ready 1 medium onion, chopped
  6. Get 3 jalapenos, sliced
  7. Take 4 clove garlic, minced
  8. Prepare 24 oz tomatoes, diced can
  9. Prepare 1 bay leaf
  10. Make ready 4 Sazon seasoning from Goya
  11. Make ready 3 cup warm water
  12. Make ready 1 salt and pepper
  13. Get 2 beef bouillon cubes
  14. Get 1 loaf corn bread

Chop green onions and add to mixture. Put the beans in the crockery insert of a slow cooker. Sausage, green beans & potatoes can be made in the crock pot or on the stove top. This is an easy, versatile recipe that you can make on the stove top when in a hurry or put it in the crock pot or slow cooker and let it cook dinner while you do something else.

Instructions to make Crockpot Sausage and Beans:
  1. Cook the sausage and kalbasa. I used my grill but you can fry or bake.
  2. While the meat is cooking, put all of the remaining ingredients in a crockpot and stir till combined.
  3. When meats are cooked, slice at an angle about 3/8" thick. Place into crockpot and stir till combined.
  4. Turn crockpot on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  5. I made my own corn bread with corn and jalapenos but feel free to buy a loaf if that works better for you.
  6. When proper time has passed, remove bay leaf. Place a piece of corn bread in a bowl and scoop the sausage and beans on to and enjoy.
