  1. Take Pkg dried navy beans with ham flavor packet
  2. Take 1 Ham bone with meat
  3. Prepare Water to cover
  4. Prepare 1 onion diced
  5. Make ready 2 carrots diced
  6. Prepare 2 celery stalks diced
  7. Get 2 tbsp bacon grease and or butter
  8. Take 1 tsp onion powder
  9. Take 1 tsp garlic powder
  10. Make ready I wash in cold and boil my beans three times on the stove before

Steps to make Instant pot navy bean and ham soup:
  1. Turn instant pot to saute, add bacon grease and/or butter; then saute onions, celery, and carrots until onion become opaque
  2. Then add garlic powder, onion powder, and ham flavor packet and stir into veggies
  3. Turn instant pot to pressure cook to high 35min. Add ham bone and meat, your rinsed and cleaned beans, and water until covering beans and bone completely. Close lid and cook
  4. Once timer goes off stir ingredients well and then set pot to cooker on pressure cook low another 20-30 min.
  5. Once time goes off remove ham bone and residual meat from bone
  6. Then serve and enjoy
