  1. Prepare 2 cup half boiled rice grain
  2. Make ready 1 cup usual rice grain
  3. Take 1 cup white Urad dal
  4. Make ready 1/2 cup, soaked poha (flat rice)
  5. Get 2 tbsp chana dal
  6. Make ready 1 cup chopped, onion, tomato,curry leaves,green chilli,grated ginger

Instructions to make Vegetable Utthapam:
  1. Mix 2 kind of rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds in a pot. Take poha in another bowl. Wash both, many times to get a clean water. Soak rice mixture for 3 hours. Wash poha thoroughly and soak for 15 minutes and then mix with Rice.
  2. Grind to get batter, and keep covered in a dark place to ferment naturally. Then add hing, salt and 1 tsp sugar to enhance the taste and colour.
  3. In a kadhai heat 1 tsp oil. Add 2 laddles of batter. No need to make thin circle. Add the veggies mixture. And 1 tsp oil on the Utthapam.
  4. Cover and cook both the sides on low to medium flame.
