The ingredients needed to make Okara Tofu Meatballs with a Sweet Vinegar Sauce:
  1. Take Tofu Balls
  2. Get 1/2 block Firm tofu
  3. Prepare 100 grams Ground pork
  4. Get 100 grams Fresh okara
  5. Get 1/3 Onion
  6. Get 1/2 tsp Salt
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp Katakuriko
  8. Get 1/2 tsp Chicken soup stock granules (or Weipa)
  9. Take 1 tsp Sesame oil
  10. Prepare Sweet Vinegar Sauce
  11. Prepare 100 ml Water
  12. Make ready 4 tbsp Soy sauce
  13. Take 3 tbsp Sugar
  14. Prepare 3 tbsp Vinegar
  15. Take Katakuriko Slurry
  16. Get 2 tbsp Katakuriko
  17. Get 2 tbsp Water

This is a quick and easy way to cook the dish using a pan. Adding the tofu to the lean meat makes the meatballs tender. The sauce has a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness, making the dish more delicious. Steps to make Okara Tofu Meatballs with a Sweet Vinegar Sauce:
  1. Put all of the ingredients for the sweet vinegar sauce into a pot and turn on the heat. When the vinegar starts to jump out of the pot, it's done! Turn off the heat and add the katakuriko slurry.
  2. Thoroughly drain the moisture from the tofu. Mince the onion.
  3. Put all of the ingredients for the tofu balls into a bowl.
  4. Mix together well. Mix until the meat, tofu, and okara are firmly stuck together!
  5. Form into bite-sized balls. If they are too sticky and it's difficult to form into balls, put a little bit of oil in the palm of your hands.
  6. Deep-fry them in 180°C oil. When the balls float to the surface and are golden brown (as seen in the photo), take them out and coat them with the sweet vinegar sauce.
  7. Arrange on a plate and they're done!

The sauce has a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness, making the dish more delicious. Transfer tofu meatballs to a serving dish and spoon sweet and sour sauce over the tofu meatballs and serve. To make Sweet And Sour Sauce In a medium saucepan add pineapple juice, tomato sauce, sugar, tapioca starch, onion, garlic and sea salt, whisk. Cook the sauce until it's clear and a bit thickened. Toss the hot meatballs together with the sauce, and garnish with the reserved chopped green onions.
