The ingredients needed to make Kuli Paniyaram:
  1. Get 1 cup Raw rice
  2. Make ready 4 spoons Urad Dal
  3. Make ready 4 spoons Boiled rice
  4. Take 1 Spoon Vendhayam/fenugreek
  5. Get 4 spoons Coconut flakes
  6. Prepare 1/4 spoon Dry Ginger
  7. Get 1/4 spoon Elachi powder
  8. Get as required oil
  9. Take 1/2 cup Jaggery

How to make Kuzhi Paniyaram or Vellai (white) Paniyaram: Kuzhi Paniyaram Batter is made with sour idli dosa batter mixed with onions and green chilies. When dal turns golden brown, add finely chopped onions, ginger, green chilli and curry leaves. The nice crispy crunchy Kuzhi Paniyaram is a very popular dish in Tamilnadu. Steps to make Kuli Paniyaram:
  1. Take Raw rice, boiled rice, Urad Dal and vendhayam, wash it thoroughly and soak them in water for 3 hours. Drain the water from the mixture and make it into a thick batter.
  2. Take batter and add ground jaggery powder, elachi powder, dry ginger powder, coconut flakes. Mix it thoroughly and leave it for 1 hour.
  3. Now take Paniyaram kadhai and add oil to fry the batter both sides in medium flame to make it into paniyaram.
  4. Now paniyaram is ready.
