The ingredients needed to make Orange Juice Agar Jello:
  1. Get 1000 ml Orange juice (100% fruit juice)
  2. Get 80 grams Sugar

Instructions to make Orange Juice Agar Jello:
  1. Add the sugar and agar into a pot and mix well. (It will be on the soft side when it lumps together, so for those of you who like a firmer jello or want to shape it, add 5 g of agar!)
  2. Add about half of the orange juice to the pot from Step 1 and heat.
  3. Warm it up while slowly stirring and when it begins to boil, lower the heat slightly and continue heating for a minute longer.
  4. Stop the heat and pour in the rest of the orange juice to the pot from Step 3. Stir quickly.
  5. Skim off the scum.
  6. If adding clementine segments, place them in the bottom of the cups. You can use fresh or canned!
  7. Since the agar will harden as it cools, pour the mixture into the cups while still hot. (Gently stir before pouring into each cup.)
  8. When they have cooled down, place them in the refrigerator to chill well.
  9. [If using 15 g of gelatin] Add the sugar to the juice and heat to 50 - 60°C. Soak the gelatin in 80 ml of water, add it to the juice, stir to dissolve, and pour it into the cups.

Adding more agar-agar or not adding water with the juice will make jello very firm. Store bought orange juice did not work well for this recipe, but fresh orange juice works great. Instructions Combine orange juice, coconut milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and gelatin or agar agar in a medium saucepan. If using gelatin, heat over medium/low until dissolved. This recipe is based off many testings.

Turn to Food to Elevate Your Mood

In general, people have been trained to think that “comfort” foods are bad for the body and need to be avoided. But if your comfort food is candy or junk food this holds true. Otherwise, comfort foods can be extremely healthy and good for you. There are some foods that, when you consume them, may better your mood. If you seem to feel a little bit down and you’re in need of a happiness pick me up, try a couple of these.

Eggs, believe it or not, are terrific for helping you combat depression. Just be sure that you don’t throw away the egg yolk. The egg yolk is the part of the egg that matters most in terms of helping raise your mood. Eggs, specifically the egg yolks, are rich in B vitamins. B vitamins can really help you improve your mood. This is because the B vitamins increase the function of your brain’s neural transmitters (the parts of the brain that affect how you feel). Eat a few eggs to cheer up!

Make a trail mixfrom various seeds and nuts. Your mood can be improved by consuming peanuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and other types of nuts. This is because these foods are rich in magnesium, which helps to increase your production of serotonin. Serotonin is called the “feel good” substance that our body produces and it tells your brain how you should be feeling all the time. The higher your levels of serotonin, the better you are going to feel. Nuts, in addition to elevating your mood, can be a super protein source.

If you want to beat depression, try eating some cold water fish. Cold water fish such as tuna, trout and wild salmon are high in DHA and omega-3s. Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that actually help the grey matter in your brain function a lot better. It’s true: consuming a tuna fish sandwich can greatly elevate your mood.

Some grains are truly excellent for repelling bad moods. Quinoa, barley, teff, millet, etc are all wonderful for helping you feel better. They help you feel full too which can truly help to make your mood better. It’s not hard to feel depressed when you feel hungry! These grains can improve your mood as it’s not at all difficult for your body to digest them. You digest these grains more quickly than other foods which can help increase your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel happier, mood wise.

Your mood could actually be helped by green tea. You were just waiting to read that in this article, weren’t you? Green tea is high in a certain amino acid known as L-theanine. Research has discovered that this amino acid induces the production of brain waves. This will better your brain’s focus while also calming the rest of your body. You probably already knew it is not hard to get healthy when you consume green tea. Now you know that green tea can elevate your mood also!

So you see, you don’t need to consume all that junk food when you wish to feel better! Test out these suggestions instead!
